A multimedia installation with a performative element captured on film. ‘Crucially in Copp’s work we also experience materiality, weight, resistance, exertion and the body. The material imagination is thus mobilised along with the spatial and temporal. Copp’s achievement as an artist consists in her imaginative integration of intense experiential content with the formal properties of her chosen media. In this regard, Copp is highly attentive to detail, perceptively responsive to whatever the working process delivers, and highly nuanced in her interpretative adaptations and editing.
