Collusion’ is a collaboration between Rich White and Brychan Tudor. The exhibition features a newly commissioned joint work by White and Tudor that responds directly to the unique architectural features of Arena Gallery and draws on the history of the Elevator Building where Arena is located as a former industrial trade building and now a refurbished multi use facility. This collaboration and adaption to the conditions of joint production will draw upon each of their respective artistic interests and methods of working to generate discourse in an environment that will ultimately be created and defined by their collusion.Rich White’s current work involves physically altering (or appearing to alter) existing architecture in public and exhibition spaces. These architectural interventions that create narrative in relation to the locale, are developed specifically for their location through research and site visits. In 2007 he won the CUBE Open that resulted in a residency at CUBE, Manchester. Rich is currently based in London.Brychan Tudor has exhibited both nationally and internationally and has undertaken numerous curatorial projects. In his work he uses an amalgamation of projected light and three-dimensional structures to create a form of layering, which explores and redefines ‘real’ and ‘illusionary’ space. Brychan is Wales Editor at ArtArtArt Publication & Creative Director at Creative Assault Art Production Organisation (CAAPO), who are based in Cardiff.
