My ceramics, jewellery and art work are inspired by many sources and experiences. Particularly symbols and iconic imagery from Ancient civilizations, Ghanaian Adinkra Symbols (textile stamps),archeological finds and artefacts. Ceramics are glazed with a very distinctive dry sky-blue glaze, which emphasises texture and form, giving a matt surface reminiscent of maritime archeological discoveries. Ceramic brooches, pendant and rings from £24.00.Exhibiting:A special selection of work incorporating the GHANAIAN ADINKRA SYMBOLS in ceramics, prints and jewellery will be featured in this exhibition. Wall pieces, Large bowls with Cowrie shell imprints, Ceramic jewellery, Crowns, Eggs.Animal forms ‘fire dogs’ and Long plates.
