Curating Conversations is a professional development programme aimed at those committed to a career in the visual arts. This unique course will focus primarily, but not exclusively on lens-based practice, and curating through the prism of diversity. It is for individuals who feel that curating is their next step and for emerging curators who would like to share their own ideas and investigate new ones. UK-based curators, subject professionals, international practitioners and educators will guide the course. All sessions will strongly encourage cohort discussion, debate and participation.

The programme consists of themed seminars, practical advice, workshops, studio visits and artists’ presentations. Spanning eight days, the events will offer first-hand experience from seasoned professionals and recent curating graduates, addressing questions related to the practice of curating, and the curator’s relationship with artists and audiences.

The underlying aim is to create space for new conversations about contemporary representational practices, as we question their relationship to nationality, history, memory and identity.

Organised by the Inspire Legacy Team in partnership with Autograph ABP.
