As part of the residency (July – October) artist Emma Smith is staging a programme of participatory events. The following events are open to the public:12th August: River Expedition – departing from Richmond Boathouses on the riverfront at 11.30am, 2pm and 4pm this return journey will take passengers past the gallery on an 18th century rowing boat. This event will be filmed and explores experiences of the property prior to public access.30th August: Dog Day – For dog owners, experts and their dogs this day includes dog walk 10.30am, dog photo portraits 11.00 and dog consultation 2-4pm. This event aims to trace possible decendants of canine residents of Orleans House from the 1700s. All events during the residency will contribute towards the exhibition: 1st – 30th November 2008.
