‘Exotic Transfigurations’ is about transfiguring the notions of female beauty. transversing cultures of East and West. It alludes to the 1001 Arabian Nights, Islamic geometry and 19th century European Orientalist art. This fusion of cultural paradigms attempts to demystify traditional concepts of the Middle-eastern woman both historically and metaphorically.
