Panel Discussion: The Proliferation of the Art Prize

As part of the first West London Art Prize, we are delighted to invite you to a panel discussion with Matt Roberts and Bryan Sayers on the apparent expansion of the art prize in the UK.

Matt Roberts is the founder of Matt Roberts Arts and The Salon Art Prizes. Brian Sayers is an artist and a finalist of The West London Art Prize. The discussion will be chaired by Julian Wild, Director of FACK.

Do prizes help to build an artist’s career? Does the current proliferation of the art prize devalue its place on our CVs? How can we recognize when an art prize is worth investing our time any money in? We will be talking through these questions and more.

Come and join us for an evening of discussion along with a glass of wine.

And if you haven’t had the chance to see the show yet, this will be also a good opportunity to see the works of Marion Jones, Brian Sayers, Fiona Brenninkmeyer, George Little, Susan Forsyth, Samuel Zealey, Fiona Long, Joanna Sands, Adeline de Monseignat, Richelle Rich, Sean Penlington, Yukako Shibata, Lana Locke and West London Art prize winner Jonathan Kelly.
