Factory Nights is a series of inspiring working sessions for ANY artists, photgraphers, writers, poets, musicians, filmmakers and any other creatives! They are not discussion events, seminars or even workshops. They are free evening sessions that simply provide an opportunity for creative people to come together in an interesting venue and supportive environment to make work or intiate ideas. Artists can come to the session with something they have been working on or could start something brand new, inspired by the space.Jimmy Allen's nightclub is situated under Elvet Bridge. The name Jimmy Allen's was taken from one of the most renowned inhabitants of the House of Correction and among the last prisoners to end his life in the dungeon cells. The evening will start with a tour of the venue and includes viewing the notches carved into the wall counting down Jimmy's last days and the sealed passagway that housed the cells and where prisoners were led along to meet their end. NB this session is limited to 20 so please email [email protected] to book your place.
