FIGURATIVE 11 September -18 October @ Caxton Contemporary, Whitstable Suzie Zamit | Nick Bodimeade | Paul Wadsworth | Roy Eastland Upstairs Featured Artists | Angela Rumble | Nonoko Fujii Caxton Contemporary announces its late summer show ‘Figurative’, an exhibition exploring and celebrating modern Figurative art in the UK. The exhibition features new works by leading sculptor Suzie Zamit, selected for the 2008 & 2009 Thread Needle Figurative Prize is also a member of the Society of Portrait Sculptors; Paintings and print by Sussex based artist, Nick Bodimeade; Roy Eastland, selected atist for the Hunting Art Prize, BP Portrait Award and the Jerwood Drawing Prize, shows new drawings; and highly collected Hunting Art Prize selected artist, Paul Wadsworth previews work from his black cloth project. The upstairs galleries feature portraits of madness and mania by Angela Rumble as well as Nonoko Fujii’s tiny, ethereal, travelogue portraits.The exhibition opens with a private view on the Fri 11 Sept from 6-8 pm and continues to the 18 October.
