Go Green Art – Be Street Smart. Fareham Borough Council and The Rainbow Centre for Conductive Education (Reg charity: 1096603) are running a free ‘open themed' sculpture competition, for all schools in the area, to construct a sculpture using any recyclable materials (paper, card, tins, plastic bottles and aluminium cans).Any size but it must be robust (so that it can be easily transported)Sculptures to be delivered to Fareham Town Centre (location to be confirmed) and collected, unless your wish FBC to recycle your sculpture.The Prizes will be awarded based on originality and robustness.Winning schools will win a fabulous eco prize and gain recognition for their environmental awareness, with lots of other prizes to be personally awarded by the Mayor and Mayoress of Fareham during The Rainbow Centre LIVE Festival, on the 11th July 2009.Judging will be by Cllr Brian Bayford (FBC Spokesman for Streetscene) and Julie Woodward (The Rainbow Centre), taking place 1 week before the festival and all entries will be displayed in Fareham Town Centre shops 1 week before the LIVE Festival.To register your interest please call Julie on: 01329 289 500 or email: [email protected]
