Going Places is a collaboration between All Change and Cubitt – an ambitious programme of high quality arts and cultural experiences with older people in north London. Artists and older people work together in community, day-centre and residential care settings, and we bring older people into arts and cultural venues to share their work, and to enjoy and experience the local arts and culture offer, making them and their work visible.

Launching on the UN International Day of the Older Person on 1 October 2019, the month-long Going Places Festival 2019 invites you to see and experience the programme for yourself. Hear from artists, older people and our cross-sector partners, about their involvement and what it means to them – both for their lives and practice. Come to events in the spaces and places we work to understand the challenges and opportunities they offer. Get an insight into the ambition of the programme and the benefits and possibilities of working in this area, by taking part in candid conversations and creative activities alongside artists and older people. See and enjoy extraordinary and powerful work created by older people and artists working together. Events are free of charge and take place in venues including Rich Mix, Sadler’s Wells, Cubitt, Central St. Martins, community, day and residential care centres.

Part of Arts Council of England’s Celebrating Age programme and Islington Giving’s Saturday Socials.
