Here Comes Everybody has been developed as an app for iPhone and Android and uses GPS to locate a new narrative down the River Pool in Lewisham. The listener encounters a series of twelve chapters, in the form of an intimate narrative, reflecting on personal freedom in the age of social media.

The two central characters, HCE and ALP are drawn from James Joyce’s Finnegans Wake, each walking along the river towards their own destinies.

The walk starts at the Southend Lane entrance to the Riverpool Linear Park. The walk is approx 25 minutes long and ends at the bridge where the Rivers meet, where there will be refreshments. You will also be able to view the four vitreous enamel panels fixed to the bridge, which provide an end to the walk and a point for further exploration via a series of QR codes.

TRAVEL TRAIN: Overground trains from London Bridge, Charing Cross and Canon Street to Lower Sydenham.

TRAVEL CAR: A2218 Southend Lane, Lower Sydenham – parking at Sainsburys Superstore.

Please download the app before you come. Volunteers will guide you along the walk.

Here Comes Everybody is a Close and Remote project commissioned by UP Projects as part of their Secret Garden Project Lewisham programme working in partnership with London Borough of Lewisham and supported by Arts Council England.
