Valerie Coffin Price will be showing works in progress from her latest project, Intimate Cartographies. Since her solo exhibition, Distant Horizons, at Newport Museum and Art Gallery, she has been walking, and working, in Gloucestershire and Wales, responding to the poetic voices of writers such as Ivor Gurney and Edward Thomas, Alice Oswald and Gillian Clarke, Robert MacFarlane and Philip Gross. The work in the exhibition looks our relationship to the landscape, particularly the River Severn, the rhythm and natural cadence of walking and how the landscape we live in, and language we speak, forms our identity.
