What materials ground you?

What materials nourish you?

Combining grab-able kitchen stuff and everyday objects in a fun guided session, artists Catherine Monahon and Rhona Eve Clews playfully share material wisdom from The Squishy Collective, Taoist teachings, clay practices and healing encounters. Discover how creative practice brings presence, freedom and nourishment, whether or not you feel comfortable calling yourself creative!

Discover the material wisdom of kitchen goods and everyday objects in this online playful art-ecology workshop led by artists.

This is a very special online, Trans Atlantic event hosted from both Oakland, California, USA and London, UK – 12 pm – 1.30pm PST / 8-9.30pm GMT! We will send you send you a link to the online space a week before the workshop.

What will we do? We’ll open with a body scan, an introduction to the materials in the virtual room, and a few games where we engage with our kitchen materials and share our reflections.

What do you bring? Participants are invited to bring materials from the kitchen that they find nourishing, intriguing or grounding. You will receive a more detailed list about a week before the event, all ingredients will be everyday items found easily to hand e.g. oil, garlic, grains (cooked or uncooked), spices.
