A disused Woolworths store will be hosting a huge group exhibition, thanks to support from its owners Waltham Forest Council. There will be a range of art on show, from pictures and paintings through to sculptures and film. The work will include site-specific installations from artistswho have been inspired by the building and created something unique for this show. Another initiative is “Let’s fill Leytonstone with art” – driven through schools and community groups, residents are encouraged to put homemade artwork in their front windows for the duration of the Trail. Other events will take place in shops, cafés, 491 Gallery, Leytonstone Library and even the artists' own homes. Trail maps can be picked up from Leytonstone and Harrow Green Libraries, 491 Gallery and participating venues.
