Bella Easton’s latest body of work ‘Made in England’ will be exhibited at the Royal Over-Seas League in London and then Edinburgh from 7th May 2008, with a private view in London on 6th May. Bella’s work combines irony, humour and suspense in her eclectic, idiosyncratic and dramatic compositions. Her recent work, ‘Made in England’ uses London as an ever-changing backdrop and through a snapshot view of the ‘everyday’ suggests the varied and rapidly moving society she lives in. Bella’s paintings and etchings draw on her direct observations and personal experiences of where she lives and works. However, she also plays and manipulates with imagery to form contradictions and parallel situations, often aided by memories. Having studied painting at The Royal Academy Schools and previously Winchester School of Art, Bella has been involved in many group and solo exhibitions both nationally and internationally. The British Council showed her work in New Delhi, India in 2004. Other solo shows have included exhibitions at the Curwen Gallery; New Academy Gallery and Panter and Hall. The exhibition runs from 7 May – 20 June in London and continues in the Edinburgh Club House from 3 July – 10 October
