History is strongly embedded in my practice. I approach the subject by making my own commentary, playfully intermingling fact and fiction within a contemporary context. I interpret historical narratives in a non-literal way by creating imaginary worlds based on facts however within a theatrical and fictional platform. During my investigation I delve into some of the related issues faced today such as gender, identity and society enabling the audience to question the journey of humankind. Additionally my focus on the perceptions and experiences of people rather than factual events, enables me to explore the creative potentials and new method of storytelling. Seeking collaborations with heritage, museums, communities and musicians. My practice takes a number of forms including animation, graphic art, book, performance, film and sound.
