Day one: Paper Patchwork, Pockets and Pleats.

A sampler’s workshop with a difference, as all the traditional embroidery techniques will all be created using paper. Showing a range of patchwork, pockets and pleating techniques incorporating a range of beautiful vintage papers. Do bring your own special papers to personalise.

Day two: Paper Garment Making Workshop.

Using skills learnt in day one we will go onto making small paper garments, such as bibs, gloves, shirts and small dresses, using a range of traditional hand and machine stitch techniques, including Paper Patchwork, Pleating, Paper Pockets, Button Loops, Covered Buttons and Covered Bindings which be used on the found and recycled papers.

Day three: Self Directed

An additional day with Jennifer on hand to further develop your skills from the first two days. This self-directed day allows you to make quite large scale, ambitions and resolved garments as final outcomes and can be discussed with Jennifer and the group during the previous 2 days. If you have a specific garment in mind to make do bring a pattern, or an actual item to make a pattern from, or a photo to work from
