Sheffield Institute of Arts Gallery presents a new body of work by Sheffield-based photographer Matthew Conduit. The work – Wood Land Portfolio – is the result of, initially, photographing trees as a challenge to Conduits’ previous work exploring semi-industrial landscapes. The images are intuitive responses to nature – and the complexity of natural materials, growth, renewal, structure, disorder, and layers, surface, marks, highlights, rhythms and scale.
