Local artist, Alison McCoy celebrates the iconic church of St Mary’s, Wolborough with an exhibition of work centred around the church and its history.
Entitled “Memories, Echoes and Archives”, this collection of oil paintings and drawings takes its inspiration from the architectural structures and smaller items found within its substantial walls.
With large abstract structural pieces representing the institutional fabric of the church, punctuated with the small, homely paintings representing the people who are at its heart, McCoy builds a holistic impression of the two coming together to produce a union of community and faith.
