Tenderpixel is pleased to welcome back GPS Artist, Jeremy Wood. After making the world’s biggest drawing of a pentagram by taking/tracking five airline flights over Europe, Jeremy has switched focus to the microcosm that is his back garden. The works in this exhibition represent an interesting branch of Jeremy’s GPS drawings: The Mowing the Lawn series, charts the artists movements over his lawn throughout the course of several seasons. In this new body Jeremy makes use of his unique data stream by inputting his time, date and position coordinates into various software plotting systems. The results of this experimentation are visualized in the form of two dimensional prints; Jeremy has created delicate abstract line-drawing prints, as well as cumulous clouded and vector grid-based prints by tracking his movements as he mowed his lawn with his GPS device.
