Multistorey, a series of 62 tiny oil paintings on board by Nicky Hodge, grew out of the documentation of a project on the top of Peckham car park in summer 2009. Referencing the unfamiliar juxtaposition of a sculpture park, a temporary gallery and a rooftop cafe, this work explores space, while questioning where outside becomes inside; paintings, sculptures and everyday objects converge and figuration collapses into abstraction.
