We see many sights from distant parts of the world on TV or the internet, without actually going anywhere. The term ‘Globalization’ refers to a condition shared by the whole of humanity on planet Earth and these things enter into our shared terms of reference, like a gigantic library of knowledge or as Jung said the ‘collective unconscious’. I bring my favorite bits together into some form of visual composition. For these hospital shows I have tried to make paintings that encourage the onlooker to enter into a pleasant dream or reverie.
