Do you want to start making work for outdoors? Already make work for outside and want somewhere new to display it? Or just want to get your hands dirty and help manage the land.

Little Forest is a 3 acre wild meadow surrounded by 24 acres of ancient woodland, once part of Henry VIII’s hunting ground, hence the village name ‘Boarhunt’.

Little Forest Land Art was co-founded by ceramicist Jan Griffiths and artist Adrian Mundy in 2016.  The Land Art team has now grown to a regular group of 9 people from varied backgrounds, but all with a love of nature. They meet once or twice a month to manage the land and work on creating artworks in the landscape. Would you like to join the team? There are many ways you could get involved, including:

  • cutting brambles
  • woodland management
  • chainsaw operators
  • nature guides
  • fungi identifiers
  • drone pilots
  • event stewards
  • any other skill you have and think would benefit the project.

The Open Day will also be an opportunity for people interested in entering our Little Forest Fourth Plinth Competition to view our Boarhunt 4th Plinth site. The Competition, to find an artwork to be displayed during Art in the Garden, LFLA’s main public opening in early Summer. is open to any artist or maker, working in any medium, from Hampshire and the adjoining counties.
