Spend a day of discovering new methods and developing your art practice. We will experiment with gouache resist technique to create a body of work inspired by looking at our local surroundings in a totally fresh way.
Learn new skills using this unusual process of adding and washing off layers of gouache paint and Indian inks and to create texture and colour rich pieces of art. Throughout the day, you will get the chance to master this process on both wood and paper and experiment with a wide range of media, letting your creativity develop with expert guidance from a practising artist and teacher of twenty years. Expect curious methods, surprising results, unusual approaches and inky fingers.
All materials are included, including a sketchbook packed with information about gouache resist and other useful tips. Lunch is provided, plus tea, coffee and treats throughout the day to help keep the creativity flowing.
