ORIGINAL PRINTS – DEMONSTRATIONS- WORKSHOPS – ARTIST TALKS

Celebrating the very best of printmaking in the UK today, from etching to lithographs,
screen prints to collographs, emerging talent and students will be exhibiting
will be showing alongside distinguished guest artists. Demonstrations, workshops, and a programme of talks offer visitors of all ages an insight into the magical world of printmaking.

# On The Wall
A Wall of Small Prints Following a social media callout, work by local artists will be hung unframed, allowing collectors to see a large array of techniques and styles represnting Contemporary Original Printmaking. Prints are available for sale at £100 per print, a great way to start your collection!

welcome drink will be offered and a warm welcome given to all visitors. A ‘Wayzgoose’ or celebration of all things to do with Original Printmaking will take place, a great opportunity to meet the artists, try out some of the techniques and understand what makes an Original print Original. It’s also an opportunity to purchase unique gifts.

Dry Point Etching workshop

Kaleidoscope Gallery
The workshop will offer participants the opportunity to try out a contemporary version of one of the oldest Printmaking techniques. Using transparent plastic and working from a drawing you’ll be shown how to transfer and print your image using oil based inks. Suitable for 15+ and adults with or without previous printmaking experience.

Photocopytransfer workshop

Kaleidoscope Gallery
The workshop will offer participants the chance to make images from photocopy transfers. Note that computer print outs do not work!
The method relies on there being toner in the image.
Suitable for 15+ and adults with or without previous printmaking experience.

One or more of the exhibiting artists from the SVAF Salon des Artists will be working in the Gallery and engaging with visitors on an informal basis.
In Focus with Brenda Hartill
Thursday May 31st 6pm-7.30pm. One of our Guest Artists, Brenda Hartill will talk about her particular approach to Contemporary Printmaking. Brenda is often regarded as one of the UK’s leading artists in Collograph, the book she wrote with Richard Clarke, Collographs and Mixed Media Printmaking will be available for sale. Welcome drinks, no booking.
