Rintama Arts was formed in Sept 2008, and incorporates a group of nine artists who are all currently 2nd year BA Fine Art students at the University of Hertfordshire. The name of the group comes from the Finnish word for ‘front’ and reflects the frontline approach to contemporary art which is characteristic of the all-female members of the group. They share a common interest in working with the visual arts in a cultural, social and communal context. Members of the group are Samantha Blanchard, Fiona Chaney, Debbie Clark, Juliet Guiness, Jenni-Maria Haapamaki, Louise Harrington, Paula Pruszynska, Regine Valkenborgh and Lyn Warwick.
