Local artists have produced a range of exciting and thought-provoking work on the theme of ‘Roots’. Some artists chose to explore their roots and the people and places that keep them rooted. Others have taken the theme more literally, producing striking botanical images. The result is a uniquely personal insight that looks into the future as well as the past, at people and at places. Visitors to Roots will see a wide range of work, from photography to painting, collage to textiles. Displayed with the work will be the artist’s personal story illustrating the cultural and ethnic roots of our local community.
