Scene in the Making brings together work by leaders of British performance art, painting, sculpture alongside emerging talent. Unfettered by the constraints of heavy curatorial narrative, the show explores how life's everyday actions can be significant and their beauty exposed through various artist methods.Scene in the Making concerns itself with the emphasis of "process" of making which can have greater importance than the "end product" thusrevealing a certain performativity within the creation of the works which the audience will be allowed to view. The artists perfectly umbrella this theme in all its idiosyncracies, personally politically sexually and socially. What makes this show all the more intriguing is the fact that the work shown is from British based practicioners who all play upon stereotypes of stiff upper-lip Britain presenting an almost romanticist view in light of Britains continual multi-cultural development.
