Using both her own collection of films and films sent via an open submission process, the festival invites the audience to select the films they want to see. Light refreshments, interludes of live music and opportunities to buy relevant books, super 8 equipment and memorabilia punctuate the event.Super 8 is a film format released in 1965 by Eastman Kodak. Both amateur and independent professional filmmakers, and artists, have embraced the quality of super 8. Open submission: submit your film by sending it to Al Cameron, Arnolfini, 16 Narrow Quay, Bristol BS1 4QA. Please provide a brief description of your film with the submission.Deadline: Fri 30 July, 12 noon.Please note: all films will be returned, if accompanied by an SAE. All films are sent at your own risk and are not guaranteed to be shown as viewing is via audience selection. We also reserve the right to not show damaged films or material considered unsuitable. Super 8 film only, DVD’s or other formats will not be accepted.
