An environmental art trail featuring a series of large-scale public art installations in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales this autumn. The Slow Art Trail allows visitors to enjoy the landscape and contemplate the artworks at a slow and leisurely pace.The Slow Art Trail is based along Bolton Abbey Estate’s Strid Wood ‘Cumberland Trail’ and Christmas Tree plantation. The trail will include a variety of art installations ranging from those which you may expect, such as a willow sculpture, to the unexpected, in particular a giant talking cactus featuring local people’s comments on climate change. Park at the Strid Wood Car Park. Free entry but parking charge per vehicle.
