What value do artists bring to society? What contribution can they make to enhance the quality of the environments in which we live? How can the work of artists be applied within health, social services and education?

The Value of Artists: A National Conversation will explore the benefits that artists bring to society and how the arts sector can help make the work artists do more visible.

The free event brings together a panel of expert speakers with a delegate body of local, regional and national influencers, arts professionals and visual arts practitioners. It will also look at how artists working in all regions of the UK are producing work that reaches international audiences, and how artists have taken collective action to create new models of learning and support.

Travel bursaries
To enable more artists and arts professionals to be involved in the discussion, a-n is working in partnership with CVAN to support a number of travel bursaries for a-n Members to attend. Refer to the bursary information for details about how to apply.
