On three consecutive Thursdays (5, 12 & 19 June 2008) a market stall will offer shoppers "a penny for their thoughts". The Official Thought Collector will encourage you to part with your thoughts by recording them on a postcard and receiving a penny in exchange, reversing the usual role of market trader and buying public. Should you be unable to make the 3 collection days you can also take part by sending your thought to [email protected] Once collected, the thoughts will be transferred to Thought Exchange, a specially created mechanical vending machine that takes payment of one penny in exchange for one of the collected thoughts. Thought Exchange will be sited in The Horsebridge Centre for the duration of the Whitstable Biennale ( 20 June – 6 July 2008 – see show entry Thought Exchange part 2).
