This is a call for artists’ to Deliver Work for Cupola Gallery’s Under the Bed Sale 2009 Cupola is pleased to be hosting its annual Under the Bed Sale. This is a non-selected ‘Sale’ rather than a Show. Artists are being asked to deliver Original Art that is of an older nature. It may be Artwork that is currently stored under the bed, in a draw or cupboard or in the corner of your studio (or at your mums.) Work from the past; say your Foundation days or Arts Degree Course. In other words work that hasn’t seen the light of day for quite a while. Customers are looking for a bargain at an average price of £50 or less. There is a maximum of £300. Cupola will accept work that is not mounted, unframed and slight seconds (This should be noted on the artwork). We would like a cross section of work that represents all art mediums i.e. Painting, Printmaking, Ceramics, Glass Work, Photography, Drawing, Sculpture and Jewellery. If artist deliver work which has previously been exhibited anywhere, then the retail price needs to be at least 50% lower than its original selling price.
