Wirral Met Degree Show 2019.

The Degree Show is the culmination of three, and sometimes six, years of study. This makes great demands on the undergraduates and the families and friends that support them, and the show is a deserved celebration of this effort.

This year’s exhibition demonstrates the continuing commitment Wirral Metropolitan BA Fine Art students make to establish their individual practice. In the exhibition themes such as history, landscape, social roles and human behaviour are explored alongside more purely visual and poetic responses to the world around us.

During times of economic uncertainty the value of the art and culture is always a key political issue. Museums, galleries and artists are regarded by some as a luxury. However creativity and innovation are central to any thriving economy and essential to any healthy community. We hope our students will contribute to this culture of creativity and to the wider community in general.

Open: 18 May – 9 June, 10am – 5pm, Wednesday to Sunday.
