The organisation failed to secure future funding in April last year during Arts Council England’s (ACE) National Portfolio Organisations (NPO) awards announcements.

A couple of exhibitions have stuck out recently. The first was the group show Trauma at GV Art. It took a psychological and a physical viewpoint – I have never really given time to the physical side. Like the thinking […]
I’ve decided I am binary. I seem to have two looks. One is an ‘on’ look – things are going well and one is an ‘off’ look – things are not going so well. I know this because when I […]
After quite an interval, performances of The Customer are starting up again. This brings to the fore that question of how much should I attempt to recreate what I previously did and to what extent should it be remade according […]
Sometimes you just need to go home. And I have. Today I read Jane Boyer’s a-n blog a second time. Reversed the order and read from post #1. I feel better now. You can read about Jane’s current practice and […]
The private view / final event of the graduate residency at The Lombard Method happened on friday! Despite it being -8 in the building it was well attended and people seemed to like the work! I showed 5 identical A1 […]
I love coming to the studio. It is starting to feel more and more as though it is my place. The ongoing process of sorting, moving, unpacking and repacking continues. I have also started doing some drawings that I hope […]
Our research group presentation went well this morning; we covered how established artists use the internet, how emerging artists should use the internet, overall internet usage and platforms as well as the pros and cons of being an artist online. […]

Stephen Fry with Care Bear Head The blind drawings went well, I decided to use the old wallpaper up and make it life size. This one here was only a ten minute sketch but actually needed longer… more time for […]
I feel a bit guilty for not having posted in a while… it’s been 2 weeks of busy evenings and leaving my camera in uni by mistake! In my last tutorial I was told to a) step things up another […]
I would have written on Saturday night but I had to play in the snow. And I took Sunday off completely. As I was falling asleep on Sunday night I was trying to imagine how the projections would work: what […]
Well, twice in one week, that must be a record. I enjoyed my tutorial today with Natalie Gale, my first with her. She was very quick to understand what my work was about and I got some positive feedback about […]
Dear hunter Propped against the heavy hulk of the waste disposal, fresh snow on the ground, crisp beneath the crunch of my foot, as I stooped down to pick up the framed picture discarded on the floor. A strange calm […]
NETWORK CATCH UP Trawling through the Network e-mails I was answering a question from someone enquiring about NAN Networking Artists Networks which they’d seen acknowledged on our promotional cards. I clicked on the link to the NAN page, only to […]
Relieved (but not yet counting my chickens) to say that my work is READY for Kinetica. Despite many disagreements in artistic matters my wonderful father has been a dedicated assistant and without his help I would be crying in the […]
