Leanne Mawer, Pear tree with Silver wire.. As part of my work I want to draw peoples attention to objects that are often overlooked and taken for granted. Silver wire is placed within the natural contours of various trees, this intervention can be viewed as external life lines. As with my other pieces it is the combination of natural and manufactured that is intended to provoke a reaction from the viewer. These works are placed within public areas with the intention of creating a greater appreciation of the environment.
