Vickki Reynolds, ‘Teapot with Hearts’, Ceramics, 2007. Vickki makes slip-cast traditional functional ware and contemporary sculpture. Her functional ware includes cups & saucers, teapots, jugs and cake stands. This range of work is inspired by an unexplained fascination with Victoriana styles and customs. Elements of this fascination are reflected in her sculptural pieces, which also reflect the domestic ritual of ‘a nice cup of tea’. Her decorative imagery is also strongly influenced by her childhood memories of dressing up, na’ve drawings and family life.
