Inspired by the Facebook flash crash of July 26, 2017, this sculpture visualises the moment when algorithms misread online reports, triggering an automatic chain reaction that wiped millions in seconds. Featuring LED matrices streaming news data from the day, the work reflects on our growing dependence on technologies we no longer fully understand.
