Autonomy

The work raises questions about feelings of entrapment and confinement and suggest a strive for freedom and escapism. The white background and props suggest a sense of cleanliness and bare a clinical and orthodox appearance. While setting out to create a sense of autonomy, there also lies layers of contradiction within the work, which is demonstrated when the balloon detaches and deflates at the end of the performance.
