Maddy Pethick, ‘The Scrapbook Unfolds’. Here is a scrapbook unfolding – using up the empty handmade scrapbooks I spoke about using last time at the library to collect found texts from books. It makes so much sense to make a series of scrapbook bookworks – this is a way to process a large proportion of images collected. Need to write about Scrapbooks – selecting, cutting, cropping images. Sticking them on page with glue. Creating a sequence/rhythm/pattern. Simple concept. Very pretty. (and thrifty).
