The Crafts Council has announced the appointment of five new Trustees to its board: Jo Bloxham, collector and curator of contemporary jewellery; Professor Bruce Brown, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research at the University of Brighton; artist and curator Matt Durran; Dr Zoe Laughlin, artist, maker and co-founder of UCL’s cross-disciplinary research club Institute of Making; and artist and curator Clare Twomey all join the Council’s board in July.

Welcoming the new appointments, Chair of the Board Professor Geoffrey Crossick commented: “I’m delighted that we have brought together so distinguished a group of new Trustees, whose varied experience will help us deliver our ambitions strategy in the years ahead.”
Alongside the five new Trustees, current board members include:

Andrew Harrison (Deputy Chair), founder of Spaces that Work Ltd; Chris McIntyre, Dean of Cultural Affairs and Director of UHArts at the University of Hertfordshire; Jules Campbell, Managing Director, The Middle East Bureau; Michael Eden, ceramist; Andrea Nixon, Executive Director, Tate Liverpool; Elizabeth Ogilvie-Smith, Associate Fellow at Oxford University’s Said Business School; Brigid Rentoul, Head of Legal at Winton Capital Management Limited; Beverley Rider, Architectural Interior Designer; and Peter Ting, ceramist.
