Clare Taylor
I engage and inspire learners by providing tailor made creative experiences within and for local communities.
I am an artist educator based in the East Midlands, UK. My own practice is multi-disciplinary. Predominantly, I work in three-dimensions with Ceramics and Textiles. Key themes in my work involve the natural world and storytelling. I have a recurring fascination with text and regularly use it to inspire or decorate surfaces.
As an experienced Community Co-ordinator, I have planned, organised and delivered creative learning sessions for a broad spectrum of learners from pre-school and school age children through to PGCE students and professional adults. I have taught in diverse settings, the most unusual being at Manchester Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre’s Pearce Ward teaching ceramic sculpture and stop frame animation to cystic fibrosis patients in their bedrooms.
From October 2016, I will be providing Community Art projects under the banner of ‘Bus and Bird Arts’. 'Bus and Bird Arts' will promote the Visual Arts by delivering projects of benefit to the community of Mansfield and its surrounding areas. Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
