I consider myself a triple being: Artist, Athlete and Academic. My 'studio' time is divided equally between these three endeavours. My work as an Artist involves trans- and inter-disciplinary practice. As an Athlete I follow a personalised diet and exercise regime. When in academic mode I explore texts and make written propositions. These three states are analogous to the holy trinity: Mind, Body and Spirit. I also reference them as the bodily formats of standing, sitting and lying down. Each day, I aim to spend around eight hours in each bodily format where my practice incorporates performance, installation and related paraphernalia in work that explores Chance, Situation, Participation and The Everyday in the context of Utopias.
