David Butler is Coordinator of LifeWorkArt, professional development programme for fine art students at Newcastle University integrating professional practice into studio teaching. LWA also supports professional development for artists outside the university. Setting up a new MA Art & Enterprise (2008). Co-Director Interrupt (five symposia 2003) – research into social art practice. Co-editor Art of Negotiation (Cornerhouse 2007) examining eight participatory art projects in England.
