An exhibitiion in the grounds of Cragside, former home of Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, to give visitors an alternative experience while the house is closed for rewiring. A series of outdoor installations that take the inside outdoors. Dot Riveted Drawing Room by Tod Hanson fuses the cushioned retreat of a Victorian home with the brash new industry outside. Julia Barton’s Elaborations reflects the Victorians passion for collecting and displaying possessions. Water On The Brain expresses Armstrong’s lifelong obsession with water. Decoy by Carl Von Weiler places domestic beds afloat on two lakes. Matthew Warmsley transplants a billiard room into a boathouse in Boathouse Billiards. And Cath Campbell as artist in residence aims to draw the entire interior space of the house using only her observation and plans of the site.
