Busy couple of weeks juggling projects
Viewpoint developing well…. Steel ordered and delivered this week.
Originally sculpture was to be fabricated in three sections, however have now, after discussions, decided to form in one piece. This will greatly improve the look of the piece but will force me due to size to work away from studio.
Luckily I am able to work at fabricators in Suffolk with the Pegg family who will assist me with the build.
The first stage will be to create form by bending the steel sheet at an angle to form curl. The sculpture will stand at its highest 2.2m
and approx. 1.50 diameter An opening of 600mm will be the entering point to the structure.
Once the form has been created it will then have its three supporting columns made and attached.
The next and most important stage will be marking and cutting apertures …..
