I have been looking at many different artist these are just some of my favourites. I have yet again found myself in a bit of a creative runt so I have been looking at some inspiring works, I also think I need to go to London to a gallery and see some in reality.

This first artist a looked at was Chris Ofili, he is a turner winning artist who mostly paints in bright bold colours. He is influenced by African culture and often used elephant dung in his work. He also uses paints, resin, glitter and college. I like his work because of his use of colours, swirling patterns and that he uses glitter in his work like a do.  This pictures below are some that have glitter in.

I Have looked at Anselm Kiefer he is a German painter and sculptor. His works incorporate materials such as straw, ash, clay, lead, and shellac. I like his work because me uses stars like I do and its very atmospheric.

These are the pieces of his work that I like that most.

Gerhard Richter is a German artist known for his contemporary paintings. I like his technic that he uses with a squeegee board to smudge oil paints on paper. I like the look of this effect and will try something like it soon.

Cy Twombly is one of the favourite artist, I went to see his work in Tate Britain and it really made a great impression on me, I love the colours and the dripping effects that he uses. Out of the three the pink on is my favourite I think I might create something inspired be it.

Last but not lest Yayio Kusama is an other artist I get a lot of inspiration from. I love her paintings use of patterns and colours. her paintings have already inspired many of my pictures. here are just some of my favourites
