During the residency I got involved with the organisation of Sound and Vision events
It started with building the stageset/installation that gave the backdrop for the musicians. Later involving me in a performance with Edge Effects Andy Preston. Sound and Vision is aiming to promote experimental music and video art.
I have never been involved in anything vaugley musical before, and this opportunity opened up many new experiences and thought me new ways to approach my work.
The first event resulted in a performance connecting the disconnected through music.
The second time around the stageset evolved into an interactive corridor space featuring life feed from the street , a video and many intriguing elements to play with.
Apllying lights and reflective surfaces the work gave a quazy futuristic backdrop to the featured acts:
