right, my knowledgebale film photographer friend has diagnosed the problem. the swiss photographers camera has tiny holes in the fabric of the shutter material, hence holes in the image, the more pronounced the holes, the longer the lens cap had been off. so i have beeen pondering this and putting off scanning and emailing the fella to let him know, cant decide wether to ask him to redo or not. think i will leave that to him. the fact is i like the images – they have a mystery to them, like alleged ufo photos, that there is something else there that isnt really visible. plus the fact it is taken with an old format camera that is being eaten by tiny bugs, on a film that is under sentance.
ok. writing this has has concentrated my thought. scan the images & upload, email and break the bad news that his camera is poorly but that the slides are not.
